Frequently Asked Questions

How does your Flowers & Fika work?

Flowers & Fika are held on Wednesdays from 11:00 to 4:00. The cost is $40 per person. We appreciate your advanced registration. If you haven’t reserved or are bringing additional people with you, you’ll simply pay with Venmo, cash, credit card, or check when you arrive. When you arrive, park in the parking lot and come in through the black door under the Welcome sign. Jenny will meet you there.

Bring your snips or use a pair of ours. Our snips are very sharp so please be very careful. If you have children with you who are participating, please help them carry the snips and cut the flowers. We will provide a jar with water for you to take to the field. We will show you which rows are ready for picking and you choose and cut your own flowers. They will do best if you put them in your jar as soon as you cut them and don’t overcrowd the jar. They like a little breathing room. When your jar is full, wander back over to the pavilion. There you can choose a ribbon to decorate your arrangement. Then sit and relax and enjoy your tea and pastries.

Can I cut any flowers?

We will show you to the areas that are ready for picking. Many flowers require support and we have used white netting in the flower beds. When cutting, please be mindful not to cut the netting.

Can I bring my children?

We welcome kids at Farm Kitchen. For this event, the registration fee applies to all attendees. Because of the nature of the farm property, equipment, and crop rows, we ask that you closely supervise your children. If they are going to harvest flowers with you please help them cut the flowers they choose.

Can I bring my dog?

We love dogs too, but for safety and sanitary reasons we ask that you leave your dogs at home. Dogs are not permitted at U-Pick.
