Cooking and Baking Classes
We offer a wide variety of hands-on and demonstration classes each season.
Farm Kitchen Cooking Class FunChoose from day or night classes and some on weekends.

Summer 2009
We take a break from cooking and baking classes for July, August and September as we are busy with weddings, reunions, company and private parties. We will resume classes in October with Rustic Breads, Pie & Tarts, Autumn Market Dinner, Holiday Cooking & Baking and more.

In the mean time visit your local farmers markets and try some of the fabulous local produce in recipes from our previous classes and think about what types of classes you'd like to see us do. Hollis is working on a cooking and baking class forum & faq sections to help us all share cooking ideas, answer questions and enjoy our food!

Spring Classes 2009

No-Knead Bread

Yes really! No Kneading...Learn how you can effortlessly bake fresh bread everyday. Hollis will show you how to make both pan breads and rustic no-knead breads. We'll have a hearty vegetarian soup with fresh bread to start off the hands-on class. You'll go home with fresh baked bread and dough ready to bake and fill your home with a comforting smell of bread in the oven!

Rustic Breads

An incredibly fun hands on afternoon learning the many stages of rustic
bread baking. We start with soup and bread learning the terms, textures
and techniques for making rustic bread. Then we head to the kitchen to create
wonderful bread.
Cost: $65  FULL

April 18 - Saturday 12:30pm -4:30pm

Seafood Seasonal Catch

Our favorite fish monger at Petra Velie will guide you through the variety's of seafood available in the spring and how to choose the freshest catch. She will demonstrate how to fillet fish plus share some of her favorite dishes in our hands on cooking section of the class.
Cost: $65

May 17 - Sunday 1 - 4pm


Pasta Making

An evening of filled with making pasta dough, rolling out dough by hand or with your pasta machine, creating mouth watering ravioli fillings, form variety of pasta, and make sauce and fresh toppings for your pasta creations. Plus we'll give you some tips to make your summer pastas stand out with local fresh ingredients.
If you have a pasta machine hiding back in your cupboard you can bring it along to the class and learn how to use it!
Cost: $65

May 20 - Wednesday  6 - 9pm

Fresh Recipes from Spring & Summers Bounty

You will prepare and enjoy a full meal of Spring and Summer's Bounty. Prepare a fresh and unique salad, grilled pork tenderloin with sweet and sour chutney, spring vegetables, and sour cream shortcake with local fruit. Top it off with a refreshing spring beverage.
Cost: $65

June 10 -Wednesday 6 - 9pm


Thai & Malaysian Cooking beyond Phad Thai! - with Barbara, Beelean Tan, Hollis

An exciting collaborative cooking class with Beelean Tan who many of you may know from Clara's Wok at the Bainbridge Farmers Market, with Barbara and Hollis. Sharing our favorite recipes, trying new flavors, fruits and vegetables from Southeast Asia.
Cost: $65 FULL  (call for wait list)
